David Terry, Director of Strategic Planning here at w+k gave us a great presentation on what he does here in the agency. Though he claimed to hate metaphors he presented us with at least 3 of them as he likened strategic planning to Bambi. He says his job is easy, but that is pretty hard to believe; he’s just really good at what he does.
What we learned: Identify the problem. Keep it simple. Advertising is not about manipulation.
